Portsmouth offers several distinct starting points, from historic districts to separately named residential subdivisions. Use the cards below to compare listings, then check each home's address and map location. Neighborhood search labels come from MLS records and do not replace the city's official district boundaries.

Olde Towne
Olde Towne is Portsmouth's historic waterfront district, with older homes, museums and restaurants. The site's MLS subdivision is spelled Olde Towne - 119. When comparing homes, review renovation history, parking and any local historic-district requirements before estimating the cost of improvements.
Port Norfolk has historic residential streets and early twentieth-century architecture. The MLS label matches the neighborhood name used here. Evaluate each home's layout and major systems, and confirm historic-district status for the particular address if exterior changes are part of your plans.
Cradock was laid out in 1918 for workers at the naval shipyard and has a recognized historic district. Use its MLS search to compare available homes, then review condition, alterations and district guidance for the individual property rather than assuming all houses have the same restrictions.
Churchland is a broad section of Portsmouth with parks and commercial areas. This link uses the MLS neighborhood field, not a single subdivision. It can return separately named developments, but it may miss listings whose neighborhood field uses another label; widen the map search as needed.
Park View is a historic district near downtown Portsmouth and Olde Towne. The search uses Park View - 039, the subdivision label verified in this site's MLS. Check local guidelines and property condition before planning renovations, and compare nearby streets if you want a broader search.
Westhaven is a separate MLS subdivision search in Portsmouth. It is kept distinct from Westhaven Park, another listing label. Compare the homes returned here by floor plan, condition and parking, and ask us to add neighboring subdivisions when you want more options.
MLS subdivision and neighborhood labels can cover only part of a larger community. Inventory changes throughout the day; a search can have no matching listings at a later visit. Contact us to expand an area search or set up listing alerts.
Portsmouth listing snapshot

For Portsmouth's historic neighborhoods, check the city's district guidelines before assuming that an exterior change can proceed. A property's street name alone is not enough to establish its district status. For any Portsmouth home, compare the actual route to work and daily errands, and include taxes, insurance and any association charges in your monthly budget.
Some listings may be duplicated in the search results due to the co-mingling of listings from more than one multiple listing service. Should there be different listing information between the duplicated listings; user is advised to verify the accuracy of the listing information before making any financial decisions.
